En la VII región del Maule, mucho del patrimonio religioso católico de la zona, fue hechado abajo por el terremoto, desde volcamientos, desaplomos, fisuramientos, agrietamientos profundos, y separaciones de juntas, fueron algunos de los problemas que el terremoto dejo sobre éstas estructuras de tierra.

Si bien son parte de la estructura colectiva de encuentro de los poblados rurales chilenos, éstas por tamaño o por no ser monumento nacional,( o en su caso, en vías de darse la calidad de ) no aplican en varios casos para ser reparadas.

La Iglesia de Constitución con su frontón removido y su estructura general, ya reparada, varias veces, con estucos y enmallados, madera, una y otra capa que  a través del tiempo fue juntandose, y armando un espesor de reparaciones que en su caso, terminó por volcarse y demolerse.

En otros casos, como la Iglesia San Ignacio de Empedrado, ya había sido intervenida y reparada, generando a veces más problemas de los que se se supo, en planta solo tenía la mitad de la masa de adobe, para que hubiera funcionado el todo como un sistema. Sin embargo, ya está siendo reparada, desde hace un tiempo.

La Iglesia de Sauzal colapsó su fachada principal, destruyéndose todo el acceso, como también el altar.

La Iglesia de Villa Alegre, también sufrió colapso parcial en su nave central, generando la total in-utilización de sus espacios, y con esto el uso de una parroquia  momentáneo .

CHURCHES IN THE 7TH REGION, MAULE, CHILE

In the VII region of Chile,  part of the  religious heritage (Catholic Churches) of the area was taken down by the earthquake, from overturns, overhanging, cracks, deep cracks, fissurements, and  joints separation  were some of the problems that the earthquake made on these adobe structures.

Although they are part of the social structure of rural villages, there is coupple of these religious buildings that aren't national monuments (or possibly, in the process of giving quality) do not apply in several cases to be repaired.

The Church Constitution with its pediment removed, and its structure has being  repaired several times, with entangled and stucco or  timber, again and again, layer over layer , arming a thickness of repairs  finally overturning onto the street .

In other cases, like the  Church San Ignacio de Empedradohas been repaired and reconstructed seeveral times, sometimes causing more problems than reparations at all.The plan and structure was only half the mass of adobe ( not a 0 en plan, just an L) so it wouldn't work as a systems, but there wasn't the design in plan, to work this way. However it is being repaired at the moment.

The Sauzal Church with its main facade collapsed, destroying the whole  access, as well as the altar.

The Church of Villa Alegre, also suffered partial collapse in the central nave,  now without the structure , there is no inhabitation of their spaces, there is a temporary parish aside where the misses are given.
