01.1_Vivienda Rural de pequeña escala. Casa en  el valle de La Orilla.

Esta casa es parte de una forma de construir de antaño, de crujías solitarias y casonas de pequeño tamaño, emplazadas en colinas con vista amplia y plantar de terrazas; de la incipiente clase media rural de Chile de la VII región y porque no decir del centro de nuestro país.

Muchas de ellas abajo, con el pasado terremoto, quedan en el abrir y cerrar de ojos la pérdida de muchas otras cosas que no vemos, un patrimonio del habitar, de la forma de relacionarse con la penumbra, el andar de corredores y los muros de gran espesor, de la seguridad que ellos a sus habitantes les daba, aún cuando en ese momento torsor, la tierra no resistiría tanto. 

Sin embargo desde acá se cimentaban en el inconsciente colectivo las bases de lo que las personas necesitaban de sus estructuras fenomenógicamente hablando.

Desde el entender lo fuerte y resistente desde el punto de vista de un caballo percherón hasta la regulación del U térmico con la resistancia del adobe, todos los temas pasan por el ingenio de este chileno del siglo pasado que iba marcando en cada ladrillo de adobe, la mezcla de los motivos mestizos se reflejan en su construir. Del cual ya queda muy poco.

01.1_Small scale Rural Housing. La Orilla Valley House

La Orilla,Empedrado Rural, Región del Maule.

This house is part of an old way of building, nothing but a lonely space between two supporting walls and small dimensions, localized in smooth hills with a nice view and plantation terraces; of that budding and rising rural middle class of the 7th region, and the centre of Chile.

Some of them colapsed, with the recent earthquake, they just stayed in a fast blink, the loss of several things that we aren't able to see, an inhabitation heritage, from the relationship with the penumbra, walking along corridors and thick adobe walls,to  the safety that their inhabitants felt, even when those walls were inable to resist the seismic momentum.

However the concepts of this colective conscience were founded , what they really need from the new structures , from the phenomenolly perspective.

From the understanding of the strength  and resistence  from the point of view of a draft horse to the thermic control with the adobe walls thickness,all of them are themes that were in the inventiveness of the chilean of the past century, that was marking in every adobe brick, the summay of the mixed(mestizo) motivs that reflect his way of building. A way of building everytime fewer.
