La Iglesia de Nirivilo es parte de una serie de Iglesias de una crujía de albañileria de adobe de la VII región del Maule, que nos transporta a tiempos republicanos.


Una vez más el terremoto destruyó gran parte de nuestra arquitectura monumental, pero asimismo humilde, esta pequeña Iglesia de secano costero fue contruida en 1875 , es parte de nuestro pasado, no sólo porque Bernardo O'higgins recibió su bautismo sino también por ser parte de un pasado cierto y patente.
Los dos muros y la crujía que se generan:

1.Se generó punzonamiento en el corredor lateral norte de la Iglesia lo que armó problemas como en muchos corredores de ser agrandar las perforaciones en donde están embebidas las viguetas.
2. Agrietamientos menores en juntas de muro adobe.
3. Agrietamientos verticales ramificados en muro norte, contiguo al corredor norte.
4. Derrumbe casa contigua sur dela Iglesia.

Church of Nirivilo

The Nirivilo Church is part of a series of  typlogies of Churches with  corridor made out of mud-brick masonry in  the Maule Region, Chile , which takes us back to Republican times.

Again, the earthquake destroyed much of our monumental architecture, but also humble, this small church was built in the Secano Costero ( area in the Cordillera de la Costa)  in 1875, is part of our past, not only because Bernardo O'Higgins receive his baptism but also as part of evident past.

The two walls and the space in between  generate this structural issues:

1.Stabbing with the wooden beams (into the adobe wall) was provoque in the corridor north side of the Church , these sort of problems are in fact common in corridor houses,  this issue makes enlarge the holes where the joists were embedded.

2. Minor cracks in adobe wall joints.

3. Vertical cracks with branched structure, north wall adjacent to the northern corridor.

4. Total collapse , house aside south of  the Church.

5. Partial collapse of the northern corridor
