This corridor house was repaired after the earthquake 2010, using structural reinforcement, assembling to the walls, with steel meshes, "corseting " the walls, stretching both sides.

Sin embargo, es ampliamente utilizado por maestros locales, generando una disyuntiva entre lo que la gente hace por estas casas, y lo que la academia dice de este punto en específico.
Por regla general, esta técnica funciona, con viviendas de poca altura, ya que se consigue el "corseteado", en una relación pandeo de la altura de mortero Tipicamente, se ocupan morteros de estuco de barro, para cubrir los enmallados, y asi evitar rechazo de la estructura.
Un problema de esta reparación, se puede observar en la foto de arriba, donde el enmallado, por razones desconocidas se continuó hasta una altura aproximada de 2,5, quedando sobre esa línea, sin afianzamiento, y justo en el área en donde el edificio siempre se deforma más, esto es el 1er tercio superior.
They used the steel netted technique with cement mortar, this combined solution can be used on specific cases; due to the problem with the loads of the seismic moment , which after the movement ,separates from the wall of adobe, because there is no material compatibility between adobe and cement mortar.
However, it is widely used by local contractors, creating a disjunction between what people do for these houses, and what the builders and architects do in order to repare these sort of walls.
Generally, this technique works with low-rise housing, because the "corset" can be applied, always in a relationship between the buckling and the height mortar attatched. The typical stucco for this withsteel nets, is adobe mortar stucco.
One of the biggest problems with this sort of reparation, -you can see in the picture above, where the netting, for unknown reasons it doesn't continued up to the total height , it only gets approximately to the 2.5m height , without any reinforcements , and just in the area where the building always becomes more deformed , this is the 1st upper third.

En el caso, del confinamiento de vanos, es necesario que la malla de vuelta amarrando y envolviendo el muro, en este caso, la malla está bien ubicada y fijada con clavos de 4" aprox. con esto el enmallado pasa a ser una segunda piel, que cubre la totalidad de muros, afianzándolo.
